2023 Automotive Security Outlook

Just before regulations come into effect in 2024, we dug into our trove of automotive cybersecurity data to identify the greatest successes, shortfalls, and overall state of automotive product security in 2023. 

As commendable as many of the steps taken by OEMs and Tier-N’s, we are still seeing:

• Double-digit jump in new CVEs
• Immature teams with stagnant funding
• Reliance on components that are 10+ years old
• CWEs that can expose personal information or worse
